This is a set of 6 Avon 1876 Cape Cod Ruby Red glass Dinner plates. Five have boxes 1 does not. They are 10.75 inches in diameter and are a gorgeous deep cranberry red color that Avon sold from 1975 to 1993. The production technique used in their manufacture created super small air pockets...aka "seeds" in the glass giving them an almost sparkle appearance. (see close-up) They are in excellent vintage condition and would be a great way to expand your set or would be lovely used at Christmas
